Entryway Facelift

This post is sponsored

Our home has been a work in progress since we moved in, but one project I couldn’t go another season without completing was our back entry. With our garage and driveway located at the rear of our home this serves as our main entry point day to day. From lighting to hardware it was all around plain and dated.

Last September we gave the interior of our mudroom a quick update, and this year was all about finishing up the interior and giving the exterior a much needed facelift!

Before:

Going into this project I knew I wanted a bold door color and accenting brass hardware. I have been really loving moody hues lately and a dark door just felt right. Bonus: It will hide all of the paw and finger prints from the dogs and kids. We decided on Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black for a true black tone, and the Transitional Heritage Monolithic Entry set in satin brass from Emtek (launching early October) giving the door an immediate modern update.

For the exterior lighting we needed something low profile that would fit in the existing soffit. I wanted it to be its own statement without taking away from the bold door and updated hardware. After measuring, measuring again, and measuring a third time, I ordered this bulkhead flushmount fixture and kept my fingers crossed that it would work. Our doorbell, also dated and in need of a replacement, was swapped out for this fun modern brass doorbell from Rejuvenation.

AFTER:

On the interior, updates included a new floor mat, wall hooks, and the addition of the satin brass Aston Lever from Emtek to compliment the new hardware set.

This is one of our quickest turn-around projects to date and I am so happy with how it all came together.
