One Room Challenge Week 5: Taking Shape

Holy Cow! It’s week five of the Spring 2019 One Room Challenge! We are one week away from reveal day and a lot has been completed since last week. I can finally see the finish line and can’t wait to show you the completed half bath but until then, here’s a little update.

This week was epic for deliveries with the arrival of bathroom/closet accessories, artwork and the new flooring from Quadrostyle. The American Standard fixtures are arriving any day now and I can’t wait for this to be a functional bathroom again. Along with deliveries, this week went very smoothly compared to weeks past. Now that the walls are done, the half bath is taking shape and while the footprint is roughly the same it feels like an entirely new space.

One struggle I did face this past week was the waiting game. I am not the most patient person and there was a LOT of waiting to do. Waiting for paint to dry, waiting for trim to arrive, waiting for the remaining fixtures and lighting to be delivered. While I did have to wait for some of the bigger things to be finished, I used that time to practice a new skill… electrical. It may seem small to some but I used the internet and good ole’ YouTube and taught myself how to properly wire switches and outlets (something I was waiting on my husband to help me with). I also installed the new walk-in closet flush mount light and I’m keeping fingers crossed that the bathroom sconce arrives in time!

There is still so much to do before the reveal and I wish I had more to share but you will just have to wait until the big day! Below is a list of things to come in the next seven days.
