Home for the Holidays

The holiday season is my favorite time of the year. From Thanksgiving through Christmas there is just so much to do and to see. It is such a busy time, and it is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle that the holidays bring. These last few years as our girls are growing up so quickly we have tried to slow it down and draw focus to the real magic of the holidays. Making it less about “stuff” and more about time spent together as a family. For us, that means the month of December is sprinkled with game nights, cookie decorating, gingerbread houses, ice skating and perhaps our favorite Friday night tradition, family movie nights.

We slowly transitioned each room for the winter months and kept our holiday decor minimal. Several garlands were spread throughout our home, Scandi wood trees lined our Envelo sideboard, and we added cozy knit blankets and velvet pillows to our Article Sven sofa.

As we transition away from the holidays and into a new year I am looking forward to continuing the slowness and time spent together. We had so much to be thankful for this year; new opportunities with work, home renovations as well as fun travel adventures.
