Weekend in Palm Springs
I am settling back into the day to day, feeling so refreshed but missing the desert oasis that is Palm Springs. I wish I had another week (or two) to relax and explore this beautiful town and its mountain views. I threw together a quick guide of a few of my favorite things from my travels.
V Palm Springs
As soon as I booked my flights, the hotel hunt began. I wanted to stay somewhere modern, fun, and close to amenities. When staying anywhere in Palm Springs all are easy to come by but I decided on V, a newly opened modern hotel with mountain views to die for. From check-in to check-out my stay went without a hitch. The staff was very courteous and friendly, the room was immaculate and the patio and pool deck were just the quiet solace that I needed.
But first, Coffee
If you are anything like me, your first thought each day is where, when and how you are getting your next cup of coffee. I am a bit of a coffee snob and am very partial to my local coffee roaster, Peaks Coffee Co. Since Peaks was unavailable I took to the internet to hunt down the next best cup. Ernest Coffee came up time and time again in my searches and they did not disappoint. Serving up Portland's Stumptown coffee, the cold brew was perfect and their patio was out of a dream.
Florals & Greenery
If you find yourself with an hour or two of down time, I hight recommend a stop at Moorten Botanical Garden. It is nestled at the edge of town and was so beautiful and serene. For those staying at V hotel it was a quick five minute walk.
All in all, this trip was exactly what I needed and I can not wait to go back.
